Default RE: MMMMMmmmm... MODSSSSSS.

Rj, I've done it already. Positives? oh yeah, more launch force. Negatives? Slightly noticable increase in vibration while idling with foot off break... Like when creeping forward at a light. I thought it changed steering/driving feel at highway speed, but I think I was imagining things, over-analyzing the movements on a windy day. The vibration is minimal, and caused more by the transmission and torque converter than the engine itself. The engine is actually a naturally balanced engine, so doesn't require any balance shafts or stuff like the 90 degree V6's do.

While in park or neutral(aka, engine isn't pushing against the torque converter or any trans parts) the engine is actually less prone to that slight shake you felt every so often.

I'm probably going to get the polys soon, but I definitely like the improvement with how I have it now... so poly mounts aren't high on my wants list rite now.

Hey rj,

I made up a nice how-to in theDIY section on how to do it. Step-by-step. Been loving it ever since. Might still switch to poly eventually.. But lets see if I get to keep it. lol.. But thats a different post.

I think Ill give myself a free bump on that post.

Thanks for the replies.

I looked the mod over. It looks simple enough to do.
