Default Trunk Broken

So my fuse to my trunk blows evertime I try to open my trunk, Don't know why?

My trunk is stuck and won't open,

Possible problems something with the trunk parts could be broken or stuck

or there could be a bad wire to my trunk switch.

Don't know yet its not good weather here gonna rain, tried fixing it today with fuses nothing worked,

I will ask my stereo shop to check it out

I will ask good friends of mine for their input as well as any members here if they have had or heard of this problem.

Its gonna be diffucult to open because I got a amp rack and stereo that is gonna be tough to move around.

Its no good

i would assume its a short in the line if you get time check the lines to the trunk i guess, are you using the right size fuse? maybe try a bigger fuse, last thing is maybe the hook to close the trunk has something in it?

i wouldn't use a bigger fuse, there is a reason it is the size it is...

replace the fuse with the same size that came out, you don't want to blow something else or start a fire because you let to much power flow past the fuse...

So I dropped my car off at my stereo shop, they are very good,

they removed my amp rack and subs without the trunk being open, Then we tested the trunk actuator which is the motor, It works fine thankfully,

What it looks like is my led lights in the trunk may have shorted out the wire from my trunk light to the trunk motor, so its just a wire hopefully.

I need to replace that wire and I hope this fixes my problem,

But I do have a manual opener for my trunk, we tied a speaker cable around my manual trunk opener and when you pull the cable it will open, So we got a temporary fix and have direction to fix the problem.

I was going to ask if your lights and everything are on the switch so when you hit your trunk button everything lights up at once. Could be too much to handle.

Me and my friend caused the electrical problem

So when he drilled the light in on the passenger side, the screw broke through my trunk wire and thats why my trunk wouldn't open.

so when installing anything undere your car be extremely careful where you screw things in.

Wire is reconnected and the trunk works fine

I had a local shop behind my work fixed it for me and spotted where the prolem was by following the trunk wire back to the fuse.
