I wasn't the first owner either and it had 108k on it, I think the policy is up to 110k. I even called the dealership, had the car a week when the light came on, but they wouldn't cover it because it wasn't the powertrain (ok, but itaffects with it). Autozone pulled the code P0420, tried to tell me it was an O2 sensor, yeah right - the internet is a wonderful tool. Anyway that's how I found this site and this link https://montecarloforum.com/m_12459/tm.htmI checked my vin# and sure enough it was right spack dab in the middle. Called GM direct (it's called a "Special Policy" because they tried to look under recalls and it's not there, tell them it's a special policy, it'll save time), they set everything up with the dealer to get it fixed.
