Smile Thank God!

I bought my 2003 Monte a couple Fridays ago at a Ford dealership, they said it has been through a 10 point check on it and everything. I got it home and after a couple days I decided to check the antifreeze and it was a gallon low and also my locks started acting weird and security lights came on and stayed on. I bought as is but I called them and complained and they sent it to a GM dealership for repairs and looks like the plastic fittings were bad and leaking antifreeze and the BCM was bad also and that was replaced and they did all that for free. I would have been out of probably $800 or so. I'm sure the dealership shop manager got yelled at for saying everything worked on it. Sorry this is long but I'm very happy to have my Monte fixed!

Congrats. Good to hear they took care of it for you. If you bought it as is, they could've easily told you it wasn't their problem. But if they did that, they know that you would never come back to buy another vehicle. This way, there's a possibility you may come back in the future to buy a brand new car.

That's awesome they got it fixed up for you.
I believe in my state (and it might be a country wide situation), when you buy a car from ANY dealership, I believe I've heard you have 30 days to commit to that deal. If that is in fact true you possibly could have dropped it off and demanded your money back.

Again, I don't know if it's true. But what I can say.... It's awesome that dealership took care of you. It's clear they CARE about their name. One bad sale like that (after claiming it had a 10pt inspection) could start a lot of bad word-of-mouth. But they've given you the chance to spread positive feedback. I think that's great!!

Thanks guys, I did mention that I was planning on buying my wife a car there in the future but if they do business that way, I'll buy somewhere else. They really did take care of me so I might give them another chance.

Congrats definately some luck right there. Most dealerships would have left you with the bill that must be a good place you got it from. I've never really had any major issues after buying a vehicle from a stealership except for my Grand Prix GT. I got royally screwed on that one and it was my own fault I didn't follow my own rules about looking at a car but hey I guess 1 out of 18 isnt bad lol.
