No one was trying to accuse you of being stupid. We're all just trying to look out for you.

In all honesty, this money is given to you to put towards a specific purpose (aka, college education). Unless you are graduating college this year, just use that money for the purpose it was given to you. And if this is a financial aid that you will have to re-pay, Bumpin' already suggested paying it back early as a good idea.

I personally don't like hearing or seeing people abuse these types of programs, especially if my money contributes to them, such as my tax dollars (welfare is one of many programs that are notorious for being abused). When people abuse those programs by blowing the money on things it was NOT intended for, it ruins a good things for people who truly need the money.

Exactly. When I went through college I applied for quite a few scholarships, but some didn't come back until after I had to take out the student loans for the remaining (which I did). Then the other scholarships came back too, so I just put it in the bank so I had a decent size fund to knock out about 70% of my loans the day after graduation. Then while everyone else is spending hard earned money paying down those loans, you can be using your hard earned money for something of enjoyment to you.

Not that we can tell you how to live your life, but you have to admit, based on your original post, it appeared like you might be abusing your finannicial aid (and it's obvious a lot of people here are not fans of that idea).

Based on how tore up this thread is, you may want to just start a fresh thread and state "I have X I am willing to spend, what do people suggest I buy to mod my car".
