do you think a stock 04 monte carlo ss would beat a stock mustang v6

As noted, the N/A V6 Monte is 20HP less than the new mustang and would more than likely lose pending the driver.


A S/C monte would win pending the driver......

 

I have twice run a 4.6 V8 Mustang, from 30 - 60 we were dead even.
I ran a mid 90's Impala SS (stock 275hp) 0 - 75 (traffic light tree) oops, shouldn't do that!!!
my front bumper stayed lined up with his front door. I'm gonna get a programmer when they go on sale and get a rematch.

 

i have an 05 and every time i raced a v6 stang even if they got a better reaction time i caught up but i have a few mods and the funny thing was my system was louder than his too which means it was probably heavyer

 

I was catching up to v6 Mustangs in my 94 Accord

 

Being a former 2000 Mustang GT owner I can actually say I'm more impressed with my SS. Even with the bolt-on mods I had on the Stang, I know my Monte would have given it a run for it's money in the 1/4 mile.
