do you think a non supercharged 04 monte carlo ss would beat an 04 ford mustang v6 with 190hp

 

The new Mustang is running 20 more HP than our stockers.... I think the Rustang would win. That being said, the Monte would look much better going down the track...lol

 

what is the Monte SS stock? i know the GTP is 240/280 for an 01

 

Stock SS is 200HP...

Dudes…just a couple corrections.

1). The Monte Carlo SS is supercharged by default. The LS and LT are non-supercharged Montes.

2). In current Models, the 3.4lt LS runs 180hp; 3.8lt LT runs 200hp; and the 3.8lt SS runs 240hp all in stock trim.

I drive an ‘05 Monte LT. I have raced against quite a few contenders, one of which being a ’99 Mustang V-6. Pretty even race. I think if the Monte was a little lighter, the Rustang would have been put out to pasture. Speaking in terms of power to weight ratio.

The worst spanking I have gotten was from an ’05 Dodge Neon SRT-4. I smoked him off the line, but once the turbo spooled and he hit 2nd gear, that was all she wrote. I cried bitter tears!! LOL.
