The $5000 is the way to go in my opinion, at least from the pics. That one with the 355, I would steer totally clear of that. Who wants a car with no heat or A/C . The $5000 looks sharp, and I also think its worth that, granted it is as nice as the pics. Good luck and let us know about it. If I am not mistaken, wasnt your budget at 2k a month or so ago?

No you're absolutely right about my budget. Ive picked up another job so my income has gotten much better. I do about 85 hour weeks now. I do 50 at the restaurant and 35 at the gym. But this is only to speed things up for a month or so. Right now my "car fund" is at 4400. Next week its going to be around 4900. Ofcourse thats not ALL my income this is after some bills and such. I have a couple of powerlifting meets coming up so my work hours at the gym might increase and i'll decrease at the restaurant. July 17th is my wife's and I one year anneversary and my estimated car fund will be 6450. But, I'm going to be using some of that money for somethings i have planned. Hopefully no more than 700$ for the weekend. I live in massachusetts so the snow can be bad at times during the winter, which is another factor that I'll have to consider in buying an 86-88 because that will be my daily car and I'm not sure how i'll be able to drive it in the winter. If you guys think its doable, I'll still buy an 80's SS, otherwise I'd like to get a 02 or an 03 SS. Probably can't afford the Intimidator edition but i'd like to convert what ever ss to look like the intimidator. If i do that, I'm going to have to relearn all about the 6th gen monte's because i know NOTHING about these new ones. All me research has been on the 4th gen SS so i'll be on this site quite a bit and if i cant find something in the search or browse, i might be asking some semi dumb questions. What do you guys think?

Hey guys. So yesterday something came up apparently with the owner of the car and he had to stay late at work so I didn't get to see it. I'm not free again from work until Friday so that's when I'll probably be looking at it. I feel like I can go either way on this one regarding what year I choose. Theres a black 02 SS on sale in the town over from me might give that a look soon. Im not going to rush. If I see a screaming deal I'll get on it otherwise I'm going to be patient and cautious. Money isn't too easily brought in these days and things aren't getting cheaper! Lol
