Hey all,

I have a 2000 SS and one day my passenger side window fell down into the door and the window won't go up or down using the automatic button. I took the panel off and the motor doesnt even try to move. I am wondering if this seems like an electrical issue or the motor went out? As of right now, I have it wedged up using a screwdriver. I would really like the ability to put roll my window up and down back, not to mention putting the door panel back on...

Is the door panel off? If so, look for the mesh wire that will be inside the door panel itself...does it appear snug and intact or is it obviously broken? I'd bet that it's either your motor or window regulator or both.

The motor AND regulator can be bought online for around $50 shipped...I had to replace mine, was fairly easy and smooth.

I'd start there, but not a guaranteed diagnoses..
