just wondering if anyone has any experiences with the SLP "SS" grill sold on 3800performance.com???
i am considering buying it, because my car has all the other badges shaved and to have that stupid shield thing be the only badge on it and right one the front too
thanks in advance everyone

RE: slp "SS" girlle
I know ofa number of people who have installed the SLP grill and really like it. Haven't heard of any real complaints about it.
One suggestion I've seen is, if you have a car that is a bright color (red, yellow, white, etc...), you may want to consider painting the area being covered by the SLP grill black. Then paint the SLP grill body color to give a better look.

Even if your car is black, either paint it OR get some flat black vinyl used for graphics, and cover the area behind the grille. Even on a black car like mine, you can see the gloss of the paint, and it looks funny. Mine is the Tony Stewart GM insert, but you can get an idea of the gloss issues.
This is Andrea's red Monte, and she used the black tape, and also painted the edge of the insert silver. VERY sharp!

I really like what Andrea did there. I might have to steal that. To be honest, the Motortopia pic of my car reposted by Taz ...
has actually been Photoshopped to eliminate some of the red that shows though. I will have to use this idea to remedy it in the spring.
(For the record, this is also the only photo of my car that I have ever touched up. The rest are the real deal)
