I'm thinking of buying a set of SLP Headers, 1-5/8" Equal-Length 2004-05 Series II 3800 and the SLP PowerFlo Exhaust System....
If anyone has these items installed please please comment or if you have a clip of the exhaust etc.... I'd like to be able to order two new stock tips to keep the car looking like it's stock but upon start up that would sound different. Also with these addons has anyone installed these themselves? I'm trying to think of what else I'll end up needing.. besides high flow cat, I wasn't sure if the U-Bend will be taken care of with these two installs or if i'll still have to get a U-Bend Delete... please respond anyone...

Does no one on here have either SLP Headers or the SLP PowerFlo exhaust?? I've tried and tried to search for some clip anywhere on the net to show these off on the 04-05 Monte Carlo SS S/C

 

dont have them but have heard them, for the money i would spend it on the brolia set up . At least then they will stand behind what they sell/.

SLP is not the easiest to work with and honestly i didnt care for the sound note for the monte.

As far as the headders go Un less your pushing well over 400 hp you can leave the stock set up on there and then get the down pipe from slp preformance. and the 02 sim. and be further a head of the game with some noce mufflers and also the U bend delet

 

Do you know of any clips of just the Monte with SLP Exhaust.... doesn't have to have the headers though. Also does anyone know the part# for the tips on the Stock Monte Carlo SS?

 

try going to you tube and look under a grandprix gtp because they have the same engine

I have a friend that has the slp cat back and i am not sure that the tips you are thinking of would be able to fit because on his set up the exit from the mufflers is about 3 inches wide

When he had the cat back on it sounded real nice but then he got the zzp down pipe and u-bend delete with no cat and it was rather raspy

As far as those tips go to GM.com and look them up
or GMp[reformance. im sure one or both would have them

but you can also go to a muffler shop and get tehm from them and they would have some that are better if not the same as the ones from a dealer and most likely not the same price as a dealer

 

I can tell you right now the SLP Headers are nice, but a PITA to install.
