And finally, my most recent pics.... From yesterday...
The paint has not been rubbed or wet-sanded. But my body guy is working on a nasty issue. In the sun at certain lights, the rear bumper looks purple (other times looks blue).

I almost backed out of the silver grill, as he had to hit me for more money BEYOND what he quoted me to do the job (I'm not 100% thrilled with that, I understand all the masking to do it right takes time and is a bit of a paint in the butt, but seriously, I don'thave endless funds and I base if I was doing these things on if I actually have the money).
But I knew I really wanted it (I thought of it before I saw Pacer SS with a silver grill and after seeing his grill silver just sent me over the edge wanting it). If I backed down now, I was NEVER going to get it done.

1 - He just did not want to tape it off
2 - He spent more time reconditioning the bumpers then planned, so this make up some of that difference....
Either way, I want this paint match issue resolved and I can't wait to get my car back.... I'm REALLY missing driving her around!!

Well, I stopped by the body shop yesterday on my way home from work to check the status of the Monte. The guy has resolved to sanding things down to spray with a new paint mix. He just got back with a new can of paint from the paint shop. Looking at it in liquid (which I know does not tell all), it looks DEAD on to the factory paint.
Any case, he's sanding and remasking to repaint. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that is might be done this week.

My assumption is "yes" as it's clear he's not finished sanding. I don't think he intends to re-shoot the silver ground fx. He works crazy hours (again, being a 1 man shop). I think he just got the paint as he needed to get it before the paint shop closed for the day. That and I should have asked (and didn't), but I think he mixed this paint himself (he knows how but does not have the stuff to mix his own paint at his shop).
No matter how he does it, I am certain it will look great when he's done.
