Out of Province inspection
So because I've moved to British Columbia I had to have my car inspected to be insured within BC.
I apparently have a huge list of things to fix and was looking to see if you guys have any suggestions to save me money.
Needs "fixing":
-Tint on front windows must be removed
-Rack and Pinion leaking fluid
-Rear tires warn (suggested cheap but good tires?)
-Taillights tinted must be removed
-After Market Headlights do not meet acceptable colour requirement
-Stone chip too large in front window (going to get it filled)
Thank you guys for any and all suggestions... ugh changes provinces suck.

Sounds like a bunch of Nothing to Do inspectors, they really gave you the once over.
I would move away, lol, not really. I would buy different used headlights, tail lights, swap them out for the inspection. We have a Monte here in our bone yard I could see if it still has some of them parts on it. Is the tinting on the windshield or your 2 front windows? It's a pain but can be done with a heat gun and take your time, trying to keep the sheet together.
You should have some local shops that sell good used take of tires if your trying to save there.
The rack and pinion could simply have bad hoses, these can be replaced relatively easy. For a quick fix if the actual rack and pinion unit is mildly leaking you can use a Leak Stop product to pass inspection, but will have to eventually replace the unit as it's part of your power steering assembly.

Get some cheap stock headlights and tail lights, and swap them out for the inspection. Don't even have to be in perfect condition. After the inspection, do what ever you want. Just keep an unmodified set of lights incase.
Tires. Well, if your tires are worn out, they're worn out.
The window tint. You're screwed there. It's gonna have to come off unfortunately.
