after i bought my car, my battery went dead on me. since i made the stealership pay for it i went with a high c.c. amp duralast (i have subs) cus they're never let me down. like most things, most batteries are made in the same factory just with different labels.

i thought optimas were so great because they were a sealed battery that you could mount any way you want? i didn't think the electrical outputs or ability to support a system were different than any other battery. if you have an adequate alternator, you should be able to power many electronics with no problems as long as your battery gets a good charge from the alternator (assuming it's a correctly functioning battery and it takes a charge).

correct me if i'm wrong on this...

I believe optimas are all about being light-weight and sealed off. Most people that have systems actually use an optima yellow-top in the trunk JUST for the system.

I was late to the thread but my 2c would have went to just getting an AC-Delco replacement.
