Default New Car Battery

Hey guys, my cars battery started acting up couple of weeks ago, and i took it to get diagnosed, and apparently the battery needs to be replaced.

It was at autozone or discount auto (dont remember) where they offered tons of choices for a new battery. of course, that confused me about what the right choice is

I have an 03 ss with power seats, a double din pioneer navigation system, and a clifford g-5 alarm system.

I was wondering what brands or what batteries you guys use, and what should i be looking for in terms of a new battery. (considering money is no issue, and i want long lasting performance)

hope you guys can help me choose a good battery (if it even matters on the brand or battery type ect.)

Optima's are great, but pretty darn expensive......

Other batteries are pretty much equal for the most part, I think one is just as good as the next. Personally I prefer Interstate batteries, but I have a Car Quest Auto (store brand) right now, it has a good warrenty, and good price, plus it was the only thing I could get my hands on when I needed it, because most stores were closed....but it works just fine, no problmes at all...

we use optima red tops at work and have lots of problems with them going bad waaaay too quickly. i will never buy one, especially at that price.

i've bought interstate batteries for many years and they've rarely let me down. that's what i would go with. the only knock i have on them is the bright green color, too flashy.

napa sells a good battery too. i had one of those in an old lumina of mine for many years that sat oustide most winters.

thanks for all your help guys, i went to sears, and got a Die Hard battery. It was their only choice, but i heard they are reputable, got the gold series battery, more battery amps, 8 year warranty with first 3 1/2 years replacement warranty.
