The stuck key/shifter are signs of a dead battery, but since the battery was just charged it makes me think a fuse has blown. Sometimes a fuse can look good, but may be open near the prongs where it is difficult to detect. Even if the fuse(s) in a circuit look good you should check them with a continuity tester to verify their condition.

Stumpmi I put a volt meter on the battery she is reading out 13 volts and some change

I am assuming that means it is ok? No I do not have another battery that will fit. I did also try to jump her off the Malibu no dice.

I am done stressing over it any more. I got so irritable yesterday with everyone at home. I am just going to let my Mechanic buddy at Frankie Dee's in Holt MI work his magic on her. going to try and enjoy the rest of the week-end.

Also David thanks for devoting so much time to me in trying to help !

Your Quite Welcome my Friend!
Its my understanding....
There is a fuseable link that connects the power to the rest of the vehicle.
As I understand it... The power cable goes to a power pole/block before it goes to the starter and from there..theres also a fuseable link that goes from the power pole/block to the ignition.. That's the one I believe is causing you all this Greif!

There's a fusible link on the solenoid, but it is for the alternator. You could have fried the coil in the starter relay, but you would have had to go through 2 fuses in order to do that...
