Need Help with the Deuce Please
Sounds like you engaged the security lock out tad. What pulley did you ark to from the positive side? Im thinking that shock bypassed the starter relay and engaged the starter solenoid which tripped the security system. Try physically unplugging the PCM and BCM. This may allow the boxes to reset.
Yes it was the positive post arked to the water pump pulley that is driven by the serpentine belt,,,, Hate to sound dumb but where are the PCM and BCM located? I will re-set them manually then, like you said.

Im not sure how different the seventh gens are from the 6th but I believe its under the air intake box. Let me he on the computer and find the bcm location.
The PCM is under the seat and the BCM is under the air filter box under the hood.
Check the fuses...
under the hood...(check all the fuses

Think I found it the PCM by the air intake and the BCM under the steering wheel by the Computer port?
found the locations
On the V8 models, the starter wire is in the black plug, pin 22.
The ECM (Engine Control Module) is behind the driver side headlight, in the air cleaner assembly.
There is a white wire and a white/black wire in the ignition harness, or the BCM, green plug, pins 2 and 4, that perform starter, second ignition, and key sense functions. No information at this time, if it is necessary to interface with these wires in addition to the PASS-key III+.
Second Starter N/A
Ignition pink + ign harn or BCM, green plug, pin 14
Notes: The BCM (Body Control Module) is to the left of the steering column.

My Mechanic told me:
Since the security light isn't on its not a security issue....
Its a blown igniton system fuse....
That's why the ignition system is fused... Incase of a short! Such as yours.
yeah I was pretty sure those were the locations. Didnt realize 7th gen switched over to the ECM. Im going to bet that detecting the attempted "start" bypassing the starter relay locked the cars security system. I'm 75% sure you didnt do any permanent damage.

Tadd, this sucks man. This story now makes me glad that when I mess with the battery connections, I'm using a "battery ratcheting wrench" (the entire thing has a vinyl/rubber/plastic coating to ward off this type of mis-hap).
I hope it turns out to be a simple issue (like a fuse that blew) and not a bigger problem like a dead BCM/PCM.

OK guys I have tried EVERYTHING.
Checked all fuses
Disconnected the battery for over an hour
Fully charged the battery
Touched the negative and positive cable together (not attached to the battery of course)
The turning on/off of the ignition switch cycle
Tried to get a code but my reader wont work unless the car is on
I will get a meter today and see how much the battery is putting out
Beginning to think I need to get her into the dealer But HOW? she is stuck in park.
How will they get he on to a flatbed?
