Default Need Help with the Deuce Please

I was putting the battery back in and I arched the wrench from the positive post to the Pulley

There was an arch.

Now the car is dead, check engine light is on even though the car is off
Gear shift is locked in place
Key will not come out of ignition

I have checked the battery fuses under the hood,
the ECM fuse
The ECP Ign. fuse

Any ideas?

Tadd:
I have done a little forum searching....

Try this Key Dance procedure... provided by Mike (03SSLE)

The Security Light/Radio Locked/No Start are common indicators of a problem with the passlock system. You can try doing a security relearn to solve the problem. Turn the key to the ON position and leave it there for 11 minutes. Now turn the key to the OFF position for 10 seconds. Repeat this pattern 2 more times for a total of 3 cycles (ON 11m/OFF 10s/ON 11m/OFF 10s/ON 11m/OFF 10s). The vehicle should now start and both the Security and Locked lights should be off. If the problem continues you may need to replace the ignition switch or (worst scenario) the Body Control Module (BCM).

If a fuse blows instantly it indicates a direct short in the circuit. If it blows a few moments after activating it is usually caused by an excessive amperage draw on the circuit that exceeds the limit of the fuse. The only way to know for sure what the cause is would be to have the circuits tested.

Otherwise it may have killed the BCM..

Disconnect the battery for an hour, then hook it back up and see what happens.

Doesn't sound like Passlock should have anything to do with it to be honest. There was some sort of short. I wonder if the computers themselves can be screwed up in the even of an arch?

Ok disconnected the battery after several hours no dice. Have the tickle charger on it the battery is charging

The Deuce is completely dead just the check engine light period Key is locked in the ignition, shifter locked in park

Going to let it charge over night and try again. Maybe the BCM got fried?

Sounds like you engaged the security lock out tad. What pulley did you ark to from the positive side? Im thinking that shock bypassed the starter relay and engaged the starter solenoid which tripped the security system. Try physically unplugging the PCM and BCM. This may allow the boxes to reset.

Also could have fried the ignition cylinder but I couldnt see an ark like that making it through the safety measures. The started is the only thing I could see not having a fuse to safe it on that path.

Sorry if this is a little confusing im kinda high on pain meds. But unplug the ECM and BCM.
