First off, welcome to the forum! Second, I'm really sorry to hear about what happened =( that would be a tough decision for me too, seems like college always finds a way to interfere with the car stuff unfortunately

 

Is this the car that was featured in Hot Rod magazine like a year ago? Looks like the same car. Well, minus the dents and stuff.

 

And i thought my car had problems...

Question...My major problem is that when the gas tank is below half if i accelerate and have to suddenly stop the car will stop and turn off. Makes it very interesting in traffic. Anyone have any ideas? I think it has something to do with the fact that when i changed the fuel filter the gas going in was red and coming out clear, the old filter deserved a pat on the back. I think what it is is rust in the gas tank. Hence why i want to buy a new gas tank. Rock auto sells them for 100$. I hope that theres a much simpler solution.

hmmm, i see PA plates on her.... where in PA are you? i might be able to point you to some places where you could get better deals on parts. its actually very clean looking for around here. with the tank it sounds like it might have some water or old gelled up gas in it, before you buy a new one i would drain & clean the old one... worst thing that happens is it still is crap, but if it works you still got $100 in your pocket.
