I heard they were a pain years ago to but once they were tuned right they were pretty good. When that generation of camaro came out I never liked them much but now I'd like to find one. BTW nice pics thanks for posting them.

Sadly, I cannot get to the vid where I am at. BUT, I *LOVE* the pics! I think it would look better with the door decals. I'm a big 3rd gen nut ('84 to be restored in my garage). I'd love to own a '82 Pace Car (though I'm not a fan of the cross fire design). It's just a nice and somewhat unique car (takes a LOT of effort or money to clone the factory Pace Car package due to decals, badging, colors and such).

thank you
thanks. when he first got it he had alot of trouble with it but it was still under warranty so the local dealer got alot of parts for it and got it running great. they are pretty hard to find anymore they only made like 6000 of them
thanks. he has all the decals but i am not sure why he never had them put on. maybe he wasnt a big fan idk. The crossfire motor is hard to find parts for and sounds like a pita to work on. besides that it is a fun car tho.

I have heard the cross fire is a pain, trying to sync up both carbs and crap. A LOT of people when they began having issues with the crossfire would either dump the entire engine OR swap the intake and carb.
My '84 Camaro came with the L69 305H.O. with a Rochester Quadrajet Carb (nicknamed Quadra-Junk). I personally only had one issue with the carb, it was AGED. My dad's friend rebuilt that carb (I think all in one night) and after that, the carb worked as good as new (maybe better, this guy has a magic touch with carb-ed engines).
But, at this point, given the classic status of that Pace Car, whew, I would NOT want to do anything to it unless I had to (aka, keep the crossfire, it's probably rare now).
But I go back to my orginal statement, needs decals....

i told him he should stick those decals on
he said he might. He has wanted to put a bigger motor in it but i told him he better keep it the way it is. And he agreed with me saying he would hate to do something to it that might hurt it in the future. so he said if he ever would blow it up or something then he would consider a 383 or something in it
