thing i've done in the past is just use a jack even the stock one and jack it up hight enought to get your ramp under the tire,

Just be very carefull jacking a car up. Even with the stock, factory jack.
Back when I was about 19 my dad wanted me to change the front tire on his 1970 Plymounth Fury. We used the bumper jack to lift the car. When I realized the car wasn't quite high enough to get the tire off the car, my dad continued to jack the car up. When I had the tire off the car, it fell right to the ground and only a few inches from my legs.
I never allowed my dad to jack a car up I was working on again. (I think he was trying to collect on my life insurance? lol)
