No, I have run out of gas once in the Monte. Ooops! LOL. But otherwise no, i've pushed it pretty darn far a few times, and trust me, that tank WILL take more than 18 gallons IF its REALLY empty, and you top off...BOTH bad habits. haha

I honestly don't remember. I just know I kept ignoring it, thinking I would make it...I was like 50-60 miles from the first time the light came on. I have the 3.5L though, so I doubt you would make it that far...LOL
