Seems legit...

I can't provide you with a 'why', but I know that they just don't operate the door lock. I sincerely hope that you get an answer to your question though.

God... Now I need to double check mine...

It works fine, Must just be that mine is an 07 and Rick's and Greg's have had a year more to sieze up. Time for Chris to chime in with his 06 status.

I haven't tried my driver's door lock in a real long time. I'll have to try it tonight when I go to work.

But I don't use the key to unlock the door because when I do, the stupid horn starts honking. If I use the fob to lock the doors, then unlock it with the key, the factory anti-theft system goes off when I open the door.

I've done that with my moms car, annoying as heck. Thankfully the remote to my car is lost in space somewhere(never got it when i bought the car) so i always use my door lock. But this makes me wonder about our other cars with keyless entry

I was told you should use graphite power to lube locks because other stuff like ''WD42'' collect dirt and gum up. I don't know if its true but has any one else ever heard this. I have used it in padlocks and never had a problem
