Default Looong Cranks

Hello all is "DRuben". Sorry I havent been on lately but I got my laptop stolen out of my car while at Walmart :l. It seems as though whoever stole it changed all my passwords to my favorite sites lol. I managed to get my facebook and twitter back but couldnt get MCF or yahoo back . Just finished a turnaround at work doing 10 hours a day everyday for 34 days and im exhausted. I managed to get a ZZP downpipe and installed it and have everything for the GT2 cam install except the cam itself. I also bought a 1990 Ford F250 5.8 (Dont know why lol). Well my problem is, after coming from the store my car turns over but immediately stalls then I crank it and the crank is like 5 seconds long before it starts and runs perfectly. It only seems to happen after I have driven my car never on a cold start. Whats up with that? Seems like as the days go by its taking longer and longer to turn over. And Taz and/or Mike if you can help me out with my account issues I would greatly appreciate it

Did insurance cover the laptop or are you going to pay for it yourself?

I didnt want to contact the insurance company about it because the last time I called them about a small dent they asked a million and 5 questions and called my phone too much lol. I told them to dont worry about the dent lol. I got another laptop from Clist (Dell Latitude D630)for $35, a complete steal. If they would have smashed the window I would have been pissed if they didnt take the car and drive it into the Mississippi river :p.

Your car could be cutting off due to a few different issues. I'm assuming you have an L36 or L67.

Primarily, when it happens, unplug the MAF and then try to restart the car - see if it stays running.

Also, it could be the Ignition Control Module failing, and/or the crank sensor failing. When either of these two fail, it's very hard to determine what the culprit is. You can get the ICM tested at a parts store, but if the ICM isn't hot (from driving the car), then it may pass the test. You could try dumping some cool water on the crank sensor when it happens, just to cool it down, then try to restart the car.

Either way, it's not that difficult to do. Just troubleshooting is a bitch, a lot of times it won't throw a code in the computer.

Its ok. I got another laptop and I have another vehicle so Im all good with it. I do have a problem thats been kicking my a$# for a couple of weeks now. Im having trouble removing 2 spark plug wires from the back of the engine. My car now sputters when accelerating but no CEL and I know its from playing tug of war with those 2 wires lol
