Year-wise, that seems impressive -- but 25,000 miles, on the other hand, seems like a poor return. Over the years, I know we've gotten an average of about 45K+ on our original issue batteries, about the same on most of the replacements.

My longest battery ever was the stock battery in my car. I finally had to replace it last winter.

So approximately 8.5 years and 155,xxx miles

The last two cars I had before the Monte were both AC Delco factory batteries. The factory installed batteries lasted 9 years in both.

Dealership that sold me the Monte told me they had to replace the battery before the delivery of the car to me. That was in 2007.

My Dad had a 2000 Bonneville and he decided to change the battery after 6 years. He never had any problems but just decided that it was time. He gave the battery to my fiance who then put it in his 72 Monte Carlo and that's where the battery still is. I have no idea if the new owners replaced it, but it was a factory AC Delco that was still going strong after 9 years.
