Interior lights will not shutoff what to do

 

I have a 2007 Monte SS that had the same problem. I just popped the bulb out of it and that was that. According to the book, it stays on for 10 minutes (!) AND will restart that 10 minutes every time you approach, unlock, start the car (or something like that). I couldn't find any way to reprogram it. It takes me 10 minutes to go back and forth to work, so zooming by the State Police barracks with my interior lights on just wasn't cutting it! Just take the cover off and pop the bulb out with a screwdriver or pliers. I keep a flashlight in the side compartment of the door if I really need lighting. I had to do the same thing to my '92 Taurus years ago.
