Also you should look into getting a donut spare. Most salvage yards sell them pretty cheap so they don't have to dispose of them.

I'm with ya Lou. Definitely get a donut spare for the trunk. But if you have a garage at home, get yourself a floor jack. And some jack stands. If you plan on working on your car yourself, it's the safe thing to do. If you're working on your wheels, rotors, or breaks, you don't want to rely on the factory supplied jack and a block of wood to keep you car in the air.

Well at my house i got a 3 ton floor jack from hell, and a little 2 ton and about 6 stands, but i couldnt really drive to go get them, i figured as long as the car wasnt bumped or anything the scissor should hold since it was on a level floor. I got caught off guard. I guess this is what i get for forgetting to buy a new donut after i gave mine to some one who needed it lol.

Before there were scissor jacks we had bumper jacks. They were not any better. A small hydraulic jack is best but I've even dropped cars off of those. Jack up enough cars and it will happen.
