It will handle as much power as you have money. From what I have read on here and seen it is not the motor but the front wheel drive that will limit you.

 

The question isn't how much HP can the engine handle, the question is how much HP can the front-wheel-drive transmission handle. Our transmissions are our weakest link.

With so many performance parts that are available for cars today, is there a performance transmission that will fit these V8 Monte's? I have heard too many stories about transmission failure for these cars and they have only been around since 2006. I have a 2006 V8 and have had people warn me about my transmission. I live near a transmission shop and saw someone with a 2006/2007 SS getting work done.

 

You can get a transmission build to handle whatever hp's you want the monte to put down, all depends on how deep your pockets are.

ZZP Sells a performance tranny for the Grand Prix which uses tha same 4t65e HD that we have.

seems the place u where talking about and dont seem much i mean i need to save up for it lol but over all dont seem much for a complete upgrade to allow u to do anything afterwards
