Depending on the year of v6 Mustang, they can be VERY weak. My wife has a 2001 convertible Mustang, 3.8 v6 and I feel it's VERY weak (but she love it because of the convertible, only thing I like about it).

Years ago when that style Stang was "new", my friend and I took my at the time '93 Grand Am with a 3300 v6 (based on the 3.8 block). That was a slow car with I believe a 3 speed trans. With me and my friend, A/C blowing, my friend driving road raced a v6 Stang..... The Grand Am was slowly pulling away. It was clear, Ford did NOT make their v6 Stang (at least then) for any power. Save it all for the v8.

Just think.... The 3100 v6 is FASTER then that old 3300.....

I like how he took all the time to learn about your car. He is definately challenging you, and he is hoping to hit on you too. He thinks he will beat you easy, you cry, and he trys to make it up to you by taking you on a date

I think the power in his V6 stang is pretty well in line with many V6's of the same era. Or at least in the same ballpark. Of course Ford is going to save the real power for the V8 GT model. That's just good business sense. People who bought the V6 bought it for better fuel economy.

But all three of the Detroit 3 watered down the power for fuel economy back then. It's only recently that GM started to boost up the power of their engines.

The 3.6 litre V6 in the 2013 Camaro has 323 horses. 20 more HP than a V8 2007 Monte Carlo SS. But the Camaro weighs 250 pounds more than the Monte. So it would be a close race between a 2013 V6 Camaro, and a 2007 V8 Monte Carlo SS.

Bottom line with creepy stalker dude... I think he's trying to challenge you to a race. And prossibly ask you out after he "lets you win".

Racing him would be a waste of your time. If you win (and you will -- no problem), he'll say he "let you win". Yeah, right.
