Gas Milage
#42
I've had my 2001 Monte carlo LS since the end of January 2009 and I have never had lower than 23-24 mpg in city driving. My trips are usually shorter than 15 miles each way and I have gone as much as 350 to 375 miles on a tank of gas of city driving and that is with 160,000 miles on it.

2001 Monte Carlo SS 3.8L V6, Stock (Just bought it)
I average about 30-32 miles per gallon. My commute and driving is about 10% city driving and 90% highway. It's awesome to have something with power and gas mileage. My sister's saturn sl1 gets around 3MPG better on the highway, which is really saying something because it has a 4cyl and doesn't feel nearly as solid, not even going to mention the take off.

I see fairly consistant mpg with the montes..... right now my avg. is 24 city drags it down some due to the fact i have somewhat of a lead foot..usually on the highway where i spend most of my time i usually get around 28-30..I dont think thats too bad for a 5.3L
