Default Fog Lights to Buy

Hi Guys,

I was planning to buy a new set of fog lights. But I'm confused about the color of the fog light to choose. In this blog post, Yellow vs. White Fog Lights: Make a Better Decision for Brighter Light they have suggested yellow light is better but some of my friends suggest white is better.

Can anyone please advise me on this, it would be great if you could share your personal experience using those bulbs.

Thanks in advance.

Ive tried yellow fog lights, yellow headlights, yellow fogs with white headlights, yellow headlights with white fog lights. My conclusion, yellow sucks. Any time I used yellow, it was a downgrade from the white that was previously used.

What matters most with regards to fog lights is the sharpness of the beam, how narrow the beam is, and that it's aimed correctly. What you want to achieve is a crisp distinct cutoff just below the headlight low-beam cutoff. The sharper the beam, the less scattered light will reflect back at the driver. The short answer regarding color is personal preference. To help YOU decide. get high quality fog lights with colorless lenses and try them out. Then get yellow or amber bulbs and run those for a while. If you're indecisive and you want to switch colors quickly, swapping bulbs may be a bit of a drag. Consider acrylic covers by ASP. I use those on my Bosch 225 rallye fog lights which can double as cornering lights without the yellow covers. They pop on or off in mere seconds and can be done even while the light is on.
