Default First gen rims

I’ve got a 1970 Monte Carlo and a friend offered to give me a set of new tires and rims they are the same bolt pattern but are older Oldsmobile 14 inch rims does anyone know if the 14s will fit the car ?

A few things come into play in 1st gen cars. If the wheel came off a older car with front drum brakes they will not fit onto a car with rotors. Don't know why I remember this but I do . Not sure if it would be a good idea , your car came with 15 in wheels and weighs a lot and a 14 inch tire doesn't have as much load rating . Just my opinion

My Monte has stock front diso brakes already on it the rims are off a 70-73 two door cutlass with new Cooper cobras I’m a fresh out of the army disabled vet on a budget so free rims and tires would be nice

Providing the cutlass doesn't have drum up front they will work. I believe in 1973 they came with front disc brakes standard. Free tires and wheels are always nice. Thanks for your service
