Sorry for somewhat falling off the map, Monte Carlo Fam! I was super busy in the summer, and I'm now trying to get as much work done to the Monte as possible in the fall before winter comes in NJ. Some of you may know that for the longest time (about 1 year) I went without a legal state inspection sticker because I had P0420. In NJ, if your CEL is on, then you automatically fail emissions. FINALLY, our friendly neighborhood admin Mike Rogers (chibiblacksheep) came to the rescue. We met up at his home in PA, and he used his HP Tuners magic to tune out P0420 for good, allowing me to keep the high-flow catalytic converter. I have to express my gratitude for Mike's incredibly demanding labor that he put in . But it was seriously cool to meet him, and he took me for a spin in his Camaro and CSC-powered Monte! Thanks Mike!!!

 

Happy to hear Mike got you all dialed in and you passed inspection!

And I'm jealous, I have yet to go for a joy ride in his CSC powered Monte (that was not done the last time I met up with him).

 

How cool is that...
That mike took the time out of his busy schedule to not only resolve your cel issue...
But to also take you for a ride in not one...but both of his killer rides!

Very Cool Dubs, The People Here are THE Best! Mike (chibiblacksheep) has steered me in the right direction a few times. So have many others here on MCF. Not an EASY task considering I know enough about cars to be Dangerous to myself and my Baby (YelloJAC).

Wish you could have made it to the High Point Fall Meet. It's not easy being the Only Yellow Monte in the Group! LMAO

We still getta get together. My Mrs. is going to school on Route 10 in Morristown. So I'm out there at least once a Month. We went to a Tia-Viet Restaurant just this past Sunday. Then The Mrs spent an Hr and a half in Yamaha Pianos (Rockaway Music) She Impressed the owner and Sales Folks!

Anyways, Congrats on gettin your Monte Legal. I Feel Your Pain. My CEL is on and my NJ Inspection is due in April. Not a lot of time on the Jersey Clock!

Thanks guys, you're all right: we really do have a sweet family here. Stumpmi, I can assure you it was a tire-squealing delight! And JC, I live in Denville now, no longer in Whippany, but I'm still super close to route 10. While most people here are familiar with what's west and north of our town, I'm more familiar with what's south and east, a la right in your neighborhood. Let's all get together again soon!
