I still go to Cowboy's comment and an earlier statement I made. Take it to a shop. Even though it drives straight, the body may still be tweaked and need straightened. This is coming from a guy that wrapped an '84 Camaro around a telephone pole and had it resurrected....

Well I'm pretty sure the body is bent because the black supports in front are bent I just realized. I went to a junkyard today and they told me they could get me a door for 240 here in a couple days. The fender they said they can get a new fender for 80 and a new mirror for 60. They all sound pretty reasonable to me and I would just need to paint them. I'm still thinking about a two tone paint job.

Which black supports in the front are you talking about being bent?? Also, have you checked the body lines? Made sure the hood and trunk still open/close, the door on the side that isn't damaged is still lined up. Talked with any body shops. It's best to know as much as you can about this project before throwing money at it. It would such to buy a bunch of parts and find it's not worth it in the end.
I completely understand your love for a car, been there done that. Just trying to help you be informed as you dive in.
The supports under the hood right by the engine and they are black and i can tell they have bent. idk if they come stock or if the guy before me put them on but i imagine they are there to stiffen up the body. i doubt they are doing much good now as they are bent but im afraid to remove them and straighten them because i assume i will not ne able to put them back on. i just got done with the alignment on it and fixed all the mechanical/ non asthetic problems (i hope) and i am heading out now to see how it drives. if it drives ok i will be focusing whole heartedly on making it look good again and possibly better than before. my paint idea is to paint it black and have rally stripes down the center and have them the color that the car is right now. kind of moving on to even better but still remembering/retaining some original aspects of the car. and the rally stripes will be outlined in the same color red as the ss badges on it. i also want to put the high sport trim on it but have it be painted red. this is my current plan. any ideas or suggestions onit?

The diagonal braces on these cars come standard (they are in the front corners under the hood). Sometimes they might look bent, but it's how GM made them. Some cars also came with a strut tower brace.
Honestly, if those parts are compromised, I'd want to do more homework on the car's condition before putting money into it. It's great that it's aligned, great that it drives straight, but is there other damage to compromise it safety.
As for painting it, changing colors correctly take a LOT of work to do it right. Such as, you have a blue car and want to go to a black and red theme. You should consider door jams, where the hood sits, the engine compartment, and all sorta of nooks and crannies that need prepped and painted (otherwise, you will continue to see blue in spots).
Personally, I love the "Superior Blue" you have (same blue as my Monte). Throw in some silver ground fx, and it makes a world of difference! But there are LOTS of things you can do with blue. But, I know blue does not work for everyone.
