If you're goign to handle this yourself, the veyr first thing I would do is take it to an alignment place and have everythign checked. Somethign might be bent or broken that you can't even see or tell and the car may never drive right again. If the alignment is good, the car doesn't pull, and it tracks straight and all that sort of stuff, set about rebuilding it.

I currently have the car on jack stands with the wheels off and have not found anything mechanically wrong with the car. So far it appears to be only body work. The door needs replaced and so does the fender. I found the trim piece in the field somehow intact other than one small scratch. The car is still drivable and the alignment is still somehow dead on with no pull to either side when I let go of the wheel. The engine and tranny seems fine and I also threw it in neutral once I knew it was going past the point of being able to straighten it out so hopefully I saved it a bit there. The hood has a few minor scratches where it matches up with the fender but those u can only see if u pop the hood. The front bumper cover had a dent in it that I poped out and is slightly scratched but if I touched it up I could live with it. So far I think the door is going to be my biggest issue. Any ideas on how much they are and where I can find one?

Morad Parts Company - 3800 Motors, Transaxles, & Stock Parts may have the parts you need. It may be a lot to ship tho. I would check local junkyards. Some junkyards have connections to other states and can get anything. You may even be able to get it in blue.

Hi `Jay,
Really sorry to read your post & see your pictures 4-Sure
Great that you were not injured, and it's easier to fix your Monte then yourself...

You can search online for parts & get a estimate, and our member's have made some great suggestions to consider.
Do you have insurance coverage ? Was there a police report ?

Do you know anyone in the Auto Repair or BodyShop business ? Or a shop that you can trust...Some will come to your location & give you an estimate (?) I don't know about your area, but it's worth checking out...

Keep us updated & check back on your thread to see what some of our expert Body Shop member's posts on your Monte Repairs...Mod `Matt might be able to give you some idea on cost...

Wish you a good resolve to your present problem...Good Luck 4-Real~>Sure...

p.s. Off Topic, would love to see you Auto Designs in the future...
p.s.
Get a Lawyer & sue the COW for illegal crossing (I'm sure there's a lawyer that would take the Case : )

Or just sneak out @ night & milk him & then sell the
Milk until it pays for your damage Or highjack the Cow and sell'em to Wendy's
Sorry, I tired & just try'in to make U Smile..
Good Luck & `be happy to still here `be 4-Sure...

Jay ! Your jumping the gun here. Don't part it out. Theres not that much wrong with it. Tell your insurance Co about what happened. Might get lucky ! were the cops called. " the cow thing" You might get some $$ from the farmers ins Co. if someone was hurt You know they would look into it. So why not try. It's not your fault his cow was out on the rd causing accidents. Worth while to check in to it. Your just bummed out. It will work out fine.

I was just curious as to what I could get. It would take a lot to get me to part with my Monte I love that thing. One thing I was thinking about is possibly getting the high sport trim for it and possibly repainting it black or maybe two tone black and red or blue and red. Still drawing up some ideas. Not sure yet. Any ideas?

The landowner is not liable for livestock that strays from the landowner's land.

Iowa Code 169C

I had to look up Iowa livestock law for that tidbit. A lot of states are like that.

By what I can see from the pictures you should be fine man. I had the same look after I crashed mine and I DID roll it. I don't care what anyone says, these cars are tough. Hope you get everything back to normal soon.
