Default Crashed my Monte!

So I was driving home last night on a rural road after watching the meteor shower, I come around a blind corner and see a deer. I swerve one direction to avoid it and it runs into my path again so I swerve back the other direction and the rear kicked out into a ditch and mangled my rear passenger side tire. Collision center thinks its totaled What a way to start friday the 13th!

edit:
Do I need to upload photos to a hosting service to post them? It's been awhile since I've done images on here...

if you hit a deer it will destroy your car. almost always more then what you will slide into by trying to avoid it. especially if its full grown.

Glad to hear you're okay. Cars can be replaced, you can't. Hopefully the car can be saved though.

You definitely want to try to avoid the deer, and swerve.

Without showing gruesome pictures, here's what happens when you do hit a deer.

How did that truck manage to hit a deer with its windshield?

Deer are tough, but the trick is, a deer is classified as a "dumb animal", and if you hit a deer, you can prove through damage a deer did it. If you turn up in a ditch, the cops can give you citations for speed, reckless driving, failure to maintain control of your vehicle, etc. Sometimes it's better to just nail a deer.
