Well, I finally got my Z34 yesterday and there's a couple of things I've noticed.

The first one is quite annoying. While at a dead stop, if I gun it a bit the engine/transmission/whatever it may be violently shakes a bit. Best described like a hard shift with a manual only repeatedly. It's pretty predictable when it will do it cause it mainly happens under situations where the tires would slip. Dead stop on gravel onto a paved road will do it always. Feels like it would be related to some kind of traction control but I don't remember there being any such stuff in the fifth gen cars, unless I'm mistaken. It doesn't feel like it has anything to do with the transmission slipping at all. I'm new to the 3800.

Secondly, I'm pretty much swapping out the deck, wires and subwoofer from my 95 to the Z34. The stock stereo worked fine before I took it out and when I installed the aftermarket deck, it works but there is absolutely no sound. I'm baffled as to what it could be. Triple checked myself and I can't figure it out. Put the old one back in and now I'm stuck with no music cause of the dumb theftlock stuff.

Any help or suggestions?

Did a little more troubleshooting today on the stereo. Deck is just fine. The harness to the stereo worked just fine in my brother's Tahoe. Simply confusing.
