Clicking Noise from Dash
Why do they need so many actuators in this car. I had this problem before and they changed the actuator and it was fine for a few months. According to this video there are 4 of them under the dash. How do I know which one is Bad? I guess that's so they can rob you more. It's going to be hard to buy another Chevy with the issues I had with this one. I can tell you for sure I will NEVER purchase one from Atlantic Chevy in Bayshore New York!!!
This car is costing me an arm and a leg. And right now I am out of Arms and Legs. And the funny thing is , it only has 55,000 miles on it. Just goes to show how they build cars like crap today and charge you 5 to 600% more to purchase a car made like crap. Unbelieveable.

I had another thread about this going on Yesterday.
I want to know if there are really 3 or 4 of these? In that video, he says one on driver side, 2 on passenger side, but then he points to 4th one?
Are there really 4?

I ordered 3 from RockAuto . com 23.23 plus ship/tax. 12.00 to ship one, 14.00 to ship 3.
I don't know what your problem with the dealer is, but my dealer service is famous for mis-diagnosing.
Don't go to Stealership for service. Find yourself another shop with a good reputation. I go to AAMCO for some things and MasterMechanic for others. I had my transmission rebuilt by TripleEdgePerformance.
I understand the Arm & Leg costs. My Monte SS was never meant to be a cheap car. If I wanted a cheap car I'd have another Cavalier.
Small repairs like this I can do myself. I had more of the dash ripped apart when I installed the stereo.
Hey Tom
According to the video there are 4. I do not have the time or money to put into my car that I would like to. Nor do I have alot of experience working on cars, so I tend to leave this to the experts. However I will not hesitate to do a simply/easy repairs to save $. If you would like to here about my past issues with my Dealer? Read this post: https://montecarloforum.com/forum/ne...mission+issues I am always afraid of breaking a clip for the Dash or some other panel breaking when I take them off. For example: One of my air vent louvers need to be replaced and where the Dash cover comes to a point in front, right of the Radio/ left of the glove box. The leather seems to have slipped off of the Plastic frame it wraps around making the cover separate from that area. By the way I own a 2007 Monte SS. These are things I would try to fix myself but are not sure where the clips are and how best to pop them without breaking them? I also need to clean out my passenger Door drain holes which are clogged and in heavy rains the the door fills with water. Another unsure clip situation.
