My husband's grandpa passed away and he was given all of his car items and things he had collected together over the years. I can't find any information on this exact hood ornament... I have seen the "red knights" but we would love to know more about this specific piece. Entire ornament is silver with the exception of a black outline in the well around the shield.

That is a Hood ornament for a Monte Carlo you can find them on 1st thru 4th Gen Monte Carlos, I am attaching a couple of photo's. The one you have is missing the paint.
