Right now, I don't miss the FWD.... I learned on RWD setups and the FWD fun of changing a/cs, installing water coolant elbows, taking the water reservoir off to remove serpentine belts was getting........... I need somethign else that will "get old"


But the car still holds a little place in my heart... and I caught myself admirring a Monte Carlo in a parking lot just today.... silver, LS, one headlight really faded to yellow... but I knew it held a place in its owners heart too, probably. haha

 

I still try to park next to Montes in the parking lots (if they are parked far enough away from the front of the store) with my Mustang LOL!!!!

 

So you're the one. When we park way out in the middle of nowhere, with no other cars around. When we come back to our car and find another car parked right next to us.

Duane, glad to hear you finally sold the Monte. Lots of memories with that car. Tray drifting comes to mind.

 

Hard to let them go for sure, I Sold my 04 Monte SS to my kid

 

I most def remember the tray drifting. Super cool, but I never had the sack to try it myself for fear of screwing up the car. That's one to try with someone else car...

 

Brent, you going to Bristol in the spring? Might be another track drive!

 

I'll give it some thought. It's not too likely though cuz I knocked the wife up again and she's due June first-ish. Maybe I could bring her and have her pop while on track! How cool would that be? Not in the back of the BudChev...

I was hoping to get to one of those track drives with you last year. I thought it would have been cool to get a shot of the Torino and the BudChev on track together and throw that pic in the calendar! It (and you) deserve to be in the MCF calendar even tho you no longer have a Monte. This is the loophole! Maybe some other member can win MOTM and try this with you. But I bet your itching to get the Mustang on track now...

 

Mustang has already been to Charlotte and Martinsville!!!
