bye bye check engine light
Installed the PCM I got from ZZ Performance last night. So far so good. She fired right up with no re-learn and I am happy with the slightly firmer shift under normal driving conditions. (She has a very firm shift under the throttle at 6k) AND the annoying service engine light is gone!
I'm going to hang on to my original PCM for the next week to max out the 14 day core period. I should have around 600 miles on the new PCM by then and enough cycles to figure out any problems - I hope.
I'll keep everyone updated.

You should email ZZP and talk to them, and just tell them that you would like to extend the core period and sometimes they will allow it.
But if you aren't having problems now, you really shouldn't.
Glad you like it

I've never had a problem with ZZP's PCMs. They have been really good to me and if you have them dyno tune your car, it's even better (although I'm sure it would be hard since you live in Kansas). Just trying to give you some words of encouragement
