Another kill
Was coming back home tonight and driving down the roadin my girlfriends 04 Monte Carlo LS when this 00-04 Mustang V6, 5 speedpulls up beside me at a stop light. I take off likeregular and he jumps on it so I jump on, through first I pulled from a car down to a half car down. I hit 2nd and started pulling him down real quick, there was a car coming up infront of me so I stayed on it until I had to let off, which was about a half car infront of him. Then drove down the road a little and he was behind me about 4 cars, I saw him jump over and jump on it, I waited until he was about 2cars behind methen I jumped on swung around the car infront of me and he when Ilooked back Iarleady pulled about 3-4cars away from him and still pulling away from him. Then we paced each other for awhile, got to ared stop light and then he wouldn't go. Then he import fly by me,I thought what a badass, lost 2 races then flies by me, like he won, lol.

RE: Another kill
the v6 mustangs just aren't as fast as thye are supposed to be.. i dunno why. you are FWD, which means more power to the wheels percentage wise than the RWD mustnag.. but i would think the extra weight would hold the monte back... a friend of mine who is into fords and the mustang says Fords 3.8 is one of the sorriest engines to go in a car... he must have been right. not only that, but they get the same-sometimes worse gas mielage than the 4.6L. i know what the EPA stats say, but that jsut simply isn't the case.

RE: Another kill
Just did a google for "Ford 305 engine" and found.......
The Modular engine is Ford Motor Company's modern overhead camshaft (OHC) V8 and V10 engine family. It gradually replaced the Windsor small-block and 385 big-block engines over several years in the mid-1990s. Contrary to popular belief, the Modular engine did not get its name from its design or sharing of certain parts among the engine family. Instead, the name was derived from a manufacturing plant protocol, "Modular", where the plant and its tooling could be changed out in a matter of hours to manufacture different versions of the engine family. [1]. It is used in Ford trucks, (called the Triton) in Lincolns (called Intech) and in Ford and Mercury cars.
The engines were first produced in Romeo, Michigan but additional capacity was added in Windsor, Ontario.
