99 Monte Carlo Brakes
Hey gang
Rear brake shoe spring is a 1 piece design. Do I need a special tool or can I remove and re-install it with channel locks or some other type of pliers? Also the radiator low coolant sensor is defective. Is it fairly easy to replace?
Thanks
Kelly

RE: 99 Monte Carlo Brakes
Kelly,
I have a Z34 so I have rear discs so I can't help you with that. The coolant level sensor is either in the bottom of the overflow tank or at the bottom of the radiator....both places are fairly easy to replace to my understanding.

I unplugged the sensor and the light is off so therefore my dash is OK and the issue is the sensor. The overfill bottle is up to level as the intake doesn't leak...yet! LOL.

You might just take it to the nearest mechanic and fork it out about $150 to $200. If you had a low coolant light come on, don't worry unless you are 50 miles from nowhere. Check to see if your coolant is full.
