The 70 or 71 Monte Carlo 454ss are two of my dream cars. I wish I could find an original one to buy. The few that I have seen for sale in this state have been high dollar cars.

Nice car and definetely worth restoring. Does it have the original drivetrain and the air ride system?

some of the air ride is still all there..
best I can tell is 66k orig miles and original
drivetrain, yes. Its at least the correct block.
Didnt find any vin or date code yet.
Ill keep everyone here if I decide to sell it.

I love the classics. The 1st gen Monte's were Chevy's luxury car. Really like the style and class built into the 1st gens. Lots of little touches you don't see put into Chevy's now.

A tv show on the canadian Discovery Channel, Canada's Worst Driver, had a 72 Monte this past season. Which, of course, got wrecked by the bad drivers. Wrote the show asking to buy it from them to save it from the crusher. Didn't get a reply. so minus one (formerly mint condition) first gen.

I would love to get my hands on a first gen to compliment the Chevelle that my dad plans to get when he retires. I'll probably have to settle for a 350 as the big blocks are harder to find. Might do an LS swap with it though if I get one.
