I havent seen many 1st gen. montes on here at all, so i thought i would make it a thread. lets see what ya got!!

got the crank and sealed power .030 over hypertech pistons in tonight. gonna put the head, camshaft, push rods, and lifters in tomorrow, maybe even finish it up!

thanks man. im on my third monte, i fix em up and sell em most of the time. i had an 05, a 72 custom, and now this 70. i def. like it the best so far.

I had a 70 red with black vinyl top one back when I was in high school. Loved it.

Here are some pics of my 70 that I bought back in 1987. I've had the car painted twice since I've had it. The second time it was taken all the way down to metal and new quarter panels welded on. It needs another paint job.

It was originally a 400 small block car with a 350 turbo tranny in it. It now has a 396 BB/400 turbo tranny combo in it.

I'm going to start fixing it up again when the house is paid off in about a year and a half.

nice man. love these cars. i really like the 396. finally got the motor built and put in mine mondy. it runs strong and smooth.
