Default 1984 monte carlo
So i have this 1984 Monte Carlo SS as so claims the previous owner. I checked online websites and found out that for it to be a SS it's 8th digit on the vin number is supposed to be a letter G. However my monte has a letter A in its place. I really need to know what that means i could not find anything regarding that letter! Any thoughts? Please help me out guys!!! Thanks!!

Welcome to the forum!!
In reference to your question, anything other than the G as the 8th digit in the VIN is NOT a true SS. Not sure what the A means.

But all Montes are beautiful whether they are SS's or not!!!
