I did the relearn last October aned it ran GREAT! Fixed some other lights, and then a couple months ago it started again.
Realearn waws no good. I am assuming I need to disconnect the battery in advance so I tried a half hour and it didn't take.
Now it's in gttting an oil change I'll rememger to ask them to scope my check engine light to see what's up. I suspect it's the same old "extra cucshoning ride because my air pump is burnt out....but it's worth clearin gthe coods before I geive it another shot, right?
1/2 hr with negativ off didn't cut it.
I think the year before I got stranded and left my car in gear so the lights stayed on. I think I ren it all the way down.

This tiemt just unhooking it is great. I have accessory, on, and start..
I fear if it starts at st5p 5 that ruins the whole thing, shich is why I left it out when I did it.
Mine was no serIouos repleacement of BCM ir PCM.....just the new battery had kicked it out of whack.
AM I SUPPOED TO TRY TO START THE CAR AT THE BEGINNING, or i sthat for people whoc've placed a major component like a PCM BCM, or an iengition switch, right?

It's drviing me crazy, I am fixed income I hve to reach out and learn all I can and I have been and I THANK YOU ALL FOR helpin gme all along the way. This has a post from 2024 or 2, so I thought I'd throw in, doesn't it matter which cable tried n egative first. Dons it mean both cables need to come off? I got a little confused i some of hte side threeads

 

I don't deny its necessity. I'm assuming once the car was tolen they would've tripped the alarm and had little time to hotwird....but couldn't, because locked out.
I get it in a big city, i get it when it was new, it's a NICE CAR. Mines's not that pretty, but it's a GREAT CAR.
Only I think I need a Shrink for tis passive aggressive security system.

Form wheat I'e read elsewhere once it starts locking me out and gets WORSE again (i the relearn won't work) I'll keep gtting more troubles, Last tiem I wasn't throwing any crazy codes....I guess teh secuity light could be one, but noting else was lighing up like with the people who needed new ignition switches. I hope to avoi9d being one o fthsoe omg.
