Here are a bunch of them on rock auto. Ranging from 6 to 13 bucks. Plus they are a forum sponsor.

I found the filters for pretty cheap on this site. I actually bought that carbon odor deal. and same day after changing it got stuck behind a garbage truck mid summer... and amazingly no smell at all. Even the stink of skunk does not get in the car with this thing just as long as the windows are closed...

You will also need to look at the underside of the cowl and rip off the cloth looking blockade + cut off the plastic that held it on.

Then you can put the cowl back on and it will be JUST like the 7th Gens
Just changed my cabin filter on a 6th gen and noticed that I was missing the cowl from the OP's post. Going to start searching for this cowl now thanks for the tip. I found them online for around $3 but then $9 for s/h. Might just grab one when I go in to get my recall work done on Oct 1, along with some more of those push fasteners....

I have a 2001 and I used a piece of scrap aluminum flashing to divert the water from the windshield. I also laid down a thick bead of black silicone on the lip of the plastic and let it dry before putting it back. It acts like a barrier for the water running of the windshield. So far two years and no water. Fram makes a version of the cabin air filter called "fresh breeze" which has activated charcoal and baking soda mixed in the fibers of the filter. Talk about fresh air !
