Nice write up. How long was your old fitter in for? Notice any difference?

Thats was the factory installed filter 2.5 year of driving, and 100,000 miles. LOL.
I actually do notice a slight difference on high, the vent is a little louder...I assume because its actually sucking all the air it can now. haha! Sounds like it did when I bought it.

Any difference in the smell/quality of air?

Actually, I had noticed a slight mildewy smell occasionally when I first started the car, and that seems to be gone.

I changed mine a while ago, and I used to smell something, but now I don't.

This is honestly something I try to do each spring because we have bad pollen around here and I like a clean filter to deal with the pollen

did mine this weekend .. just the car on accessory sounds louder and smells a bit better ... hopefully this helps with the flow of air because before this it seemed as if i had to turn the A/C on at least half to do anything ... guess its my fault for expecting a black car to be as cool as a white one was in 90 degree humidity :p

You would think my Dad's 08 Buick Lucerne (same platform as the Monte and Impala) would have that same filter set up - it doesn't. His was a PITA to change.
