Zzp 1.0 pcm

Thanks guys - I will try the 15 minutes for 3 cycles tomorrow - I already gave up and put the original PCM back in. And yes it is for the 05.

If you have to do the security relearn it takes 3 times of that same cycle before it will start. Didn't have that problem with the Monte, but I did with the solstice. An advantage I had was I drove to ZZP and Tim did the swap for me. He tried to just reflash mine, but the security systems in the Montes won't let you do that easily. He replaced mine, and it worked 1st try. Call Tim (or Zoomer) if you have any further problems.

I've been talking to Tim via email - and he's suggesting for me to send my original PCM to him to tune out the P0240 code. But I'm not really sure if I want to do that cause then I can't drive Silver.

Even though her's is an 05, you have to listen to the 98-03 directions.
The reason they specify the differences in years on ZZP is because in 04, all of the GRAND PRIXS went to the L26/32 engines. So they are still talking about the GRAND PRIX, not Monte Carlos. You would follow the L67 Procedure (98-03), which is 10 minutes (no more, no less) and disregard the listing of years on ZZP since you don't drive a Grand Prix.

Well, I tried it again this morning and waited a little longer than 10 min and my security light did go off, but after 3 cycles the car still won't start. I unhooked and rehooked the battery and I am going to try it 1 more time and if this doesn't work I will have to send my PCM to Tim and have him flash my original. What a pain in the ***!

HOLY CRAP! I got my car to start. I did one cycle and it started after that! What a relief. I scanned it and no codes. I'm going to drive it around town a bit to see if it dies or I get any codes before I send back my original PCM. Thanks for all the help!

Well I drove it to the store and back, and I remember reading on ZZPs website that with Montes, the abs light might go on after the install but will go away with normal driving. Well, my abs light didn't go on but my airbag light came on. I hope it's the same deal and it will go away with normal driving. I don't like the idea about my airbags not being active. I scanned the computer again and still no codes. I'll keep you guys updated.
